What is the Will Registry in Singapore?

The Will Registry in Singapore is a government registry that was established by the Ministry of Law in 2012. It is a national database where you can deposit information about a person’s will, such as who drew up the Will and where it is held, but it does not keep custody of your Will nor its contents. It is operated by the Singapore Academy of Law.

The purpose of the Will Registry is to provide a convenient way for individuals to store skeletal information of their Wills, and to enable next of kin to search the registry to ascertain if a person has made a Will during his lifetime. As this service is optional, and therefore, is not a comprehensive record of Wills record database.
