Notary Public Fees in Singapore

The fees for Singapore notarial services are statutorily prescribed under the Notaries Public Rules. That means the fee is fixed, except for services or additional services not specified in the Rules.

Are notarial fees negotiable? #

No. Charges for most notarial services, such as witnessing and issuing a Notarial Certificate, are prescribed by law and are not negotiable. Services outside what is prescribed by law will be charged at the Notary Public’s rates, based on the nature of the request and its complexity.

How do I work out the fee for my documents? #

Use our fee tools to compute the cost of your notarial work at the legally established rates:

Who receives the SAL Apostille fee? #

The Apostille fee of $87.20 ($80 plus 9% GST) is charged by the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), not by us. Clients sometimes assume this fee is ours; in fact, our Notary pays SAL first in order to generate the Notarial Certificate via SAL’s Legalisation portal, and the amount is collected from you as a disbursement. After your notarisation at our office, you collect the Apostille from SAL.

How can I pay? #

We are not GST-registered, so no GST is charged on our fees. We accept PayNow, NETS or cash at our office, and contactless payment is preferred. Credit card payments are standardised for all our services: payment by credit card at our office attracts a 4% surcharge, and payment by Stripe credit card link attracts a 5% surcharge.
