Pleae note that all notarial act requires a Notarial Certificate ($75) accompanied by a Apostille ($86.40 by SAL) (total: $161.40), which are mandatory. To check on Notary Public’s estimated costs, you may wish to use our Notary Public’s CTC Fee Calculator.
If you have two or more documents to be certified true by our Notary Public, as there are costs implication, you must decide the following:
- the two or more documents are to be bundled in one Notarial Certificate,
- each document requires a Notarial Certificate.
We will illustrate with an example.
If you are required to certify true copy of (i) your passport, (ii) your ID card, and (iii) your DBS bank statement for , ie. three documents. You have to decide whether (i) to combine the 3 notarised documents under one Notarial Certificate with Apositille (estimated cost $181.40), or (ii) each notarised document under one Notarial Certificate with Apostille, ie. three sets of Notarial Certificates (estimated cost $171.40 x 3 sets = $514.20).
Although combining two or more documents under one Notarial Certificate with Apostille is permitted by SAL, you should always check with your recipient of your documents on their requirements, ie. whether this is permited. Your recipient may require each notarised document under one Notarial Certificate. The onus is on you to check, and not the Notary Public.
Further, if you are required to further legalised at a foreign consular office in Singapore as some foreign missions may require each notarised document under a Notarial Certifciate with Apostille.
