Introduction #
This guide explains how to complete an ACRA BizFile download constitution request so you can quickly obtain your company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association (M&AA) or Constitution in Singapore. Through ACRA BizFile+, you can purchase official PDF extracts of lodged company documents, including constitutions and amendments. These extracts include an ACRA stamp and authentication number, and certified versions can be purchased for an additional fee.
New users often get confused about buying a Company Constitution (or M&AA). You cannot buy it as a product called “Constitution.” Instead, you must buy it as an “Extract”. This is how ACRA organizes its information system. You need to understand this to move forward. ACRA calls copies of filed business forms and their attachments “Extracts.” The Constitution is an attachment to the incorporation form filed with ACRA. This makes it an Extract. Other documents like Annual Returns and audited financial statements are also Extracts. To get the Constitution you need, you must purchase the Extract that matches the company’s incorporation filing.

Access ACRA Bizfile #
Go to the BizFile+ login page and log in with your Singpass or CorpPass credentials. To purchase a company constitution extract, you will need the company’s date of incorporation. If the constitution has been amended, you will also need the date of the amendment to search for the correct record.
Conduct a Company Search #
Search by entering the company name or UEN (Unique Entity Number). Use the Name containing keyword match type for broader results.
Company’s More Products #
Once the company profile appears, click More products to access additional document options.
Find under “Extracts” #
Scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see the “Extracts” section. You will need to:
- Scroll down to the Extracts section:
- Lodgement period: Select the relevant period when the constitution was filed or amended (e.g., “More than 5 years and less than 10 years” for a 2017 incorporation).
- Extract category: Choose “Registration / Incorporation” for original constitutions, or the relevant amendment category if applicable.
- Click Search extracts.
Choose and Add Extract to Cart #
Select Extract (with eCertification) if you need a certified copy (eg. for Notary Public’s certification), or the standard extract for general purposes. Click Add to cart.
Click Cart button #
Check Out and Payment #
Review your cart, confirm the items, and proceed to payment.
- Cost: As charged by ACRA.
- Payment methods: Various options are available on BizFile+.
Once payment is successful, you will receive an email with a download code. The link is valid for 30 days. If purchased with Singpass, the code is also available under Messages in your BizFile+ account.
Download and verify the extract #
- Use the download code to retrieve the PDF extract.
- Save the file without modifying it before sending to other parties.
- Verify authenticity via:
- QR code scan
- Verification URL on the document
- Authentication number + UEN on the BizFile Product Authentication page
Additional information #
- Other extract types. Besides company constitutions, the “Extracts” section offers other records such as changes in shareholding, changes of address or officers, financial statements and corporate filings. The steps above apply similarly to these extracts; select the relevant category and date, click “Search”, and add the extract to your cart.
- Non‑certified vs certified extracts. Non‑certified extracts are generally acceptable for informational purposes. Certified extracts bear an ACRA stamp and may be required for official purposes (e.g., court proceedings, notarisation). The certification fee is S$1 per page.
